One of the hardest aspects of owning a retail business is the need to go and BUY STUFF. It's that time and we are in New York looking at some of the coolest things to hit the retail scene. I actually always look forward to February because it is the winter buying month. Winter can be a long and trying season for us in the upper parts of the U.S. and any distraction is a welcome thing. And these February buying trips and the best kind of distraction. We'll start getting work in pretty quickly so keep tabs either here on the blog, on our Facebook page or on the website. Recycled Aluminum Jillery Jewelry
Jill Fagin's designs combine metals and colors and set a style standard that no other artist of the time replicates. The thread of Jill's designs is the use of aluminum throughout every piece. What keeps the work unique is Jill's unwavering commitment to a "hands-on quality approach to all of her designs and products. Each piece is hand-made by skilled artisans in her Greenwich Village studio. Jill is the originator of this sophisticated, yet whimsical style. This piece is made up of 13 open 1 1/8" discs that dangle from a fine gauge chain. It is 16" long w/ a 3" extender. Made from recycled aluminum and recycled aluminum which has been anodized to create gold color. This link Jill Fagin will take you to the necklace on our website.

Way Out West

On our recent trip to Colorado, we managed a day at the National Western Stockshow. Going to the stockshow is a regular part of our January visit and this year was no exception. The exception this year was the opportunity to meet these gorgeous rodeo gals! On the right is Miss Rodeo America 2010, Kelli Jackson; center is Kelsie Winslow, Miss High School Colorado; and on the left is Kasie Pigg, Miss Colorado Rodeo 2010. They were all really nice and happy to sign photos for the multitudes of fans and well-wishers. We had beuatiful weather while we were in Denver. Warm and sunny! A nice break from the winter we've been having here! Finally, these two beasts were really tired after a long hard day. Best friends. Hope they get to stay together!

Welcome to Stephany!
We are very excited to announce the hiring of Stephany Frede to the G Squared team. Stephany hails from California and moved to Ligonier several years ago with her husband, Clay and son Cole and daughter Willa. On the West Coast, she worked in a gallery managing their online business as well as floor operations. As a part of our 2010 resolutions, G Squared will be ramping up its internet presence with exposure in all the social media spaces - Facebook, Twitter, LinkdIn, etc. We will once again send out email newsletters, update the blog regularly, and rebuild our website. It's a tall order and our goal is to have all these different venues up and running by next fall. Which is where Stephany comes in. She will be running our social media "empire", while I'll be handling the blog and email newsletter. We'll both work on the website. Stop in and give a big welcome to Stephany!
