G Squared is Moving!

On September 1 of this year, G Squared will be moving to a new gallery space a block closer to the famous "Diamond District" of our historic town. We'll be in the space on the right in the image - right next door to Currant Thymes, a great kitchen store. We are going to have fantastic wall space for hanging our artists' work and our Fall show will be spectacular. Keep Friday, November 20th open for a blowout of a party! Not only will we be in our new space, but we will also be celebrating the 15th anniversary of G Squared.

Why I Love My Job

One of the most fun things about having a gallery is the discovery of new talent. The story behind this work is a perfect example. Three or four women came into our store about 6 weeks ago. One of the women was carrying this purse that was obviously made with great care. The fabric choices were unusual but very cool. I asked her where she got it and it happened that one of her friends with her that day was the maker. To make a long story short, Midge Cureton said she'd love to make us a few purses and true to her word, eight purses arrived today. The size is perfect and there are multiple pockets, some with zippers and some without. There's even a cellphone pocket.
