On Saturday, October 3, 2009, Charlie Pitcher passed away. We will all miss his optimism and positive approach. He was an inspiration to us because of his dedication to his art. We are still going to have his work in our show this year and it will hopefully be a nice tribute to his life.Charlie's health had been compromised since last January and while he never let it get him down, we could see that he wasn't doing well. On his last visit to our gallery in late August, he had a positive attitude, but was clearly struggling. We will miss him and our thoughts and prayers go out to Susan and the entire Pitcher family.
I'm so sorry. I always enjoyed seeing the Pitchers at G Squared. --Catherine
ReplyDeleteI, too, am saddened to hear of Charlie Pitcher's passing, but am glad to hear that his paintings will be exhibited this month at G Squared.
ReplyDeleteI've only recently learned of Charlie's death 4 months ago. I didn't know him well, but for a long time, and long have admired his paintings and his approach to art and life. This is another sad loss to the art community, and I'll miss seeing him around. --Rob Brust
